The IFlash64 BIOS Update Utility is an EFI application program used for
updating the system BIOS of the Itanium(TM) systems.

RELEASE NOTES FOR IFLASH64 VERSION 1.07 Build 3 (Beta 1)

A. CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION

   No changes.

B. DEPENDENCIES

   1. Requires the BIOS FLASH services Ver 0.20.
   2. Binary input files must conform to IFlash64/mFlash64 EPS specification
      and be created with FW Builder v1.0 or above.

C. SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

   1. Tiger 02
   2. Tiger 04

D. HOW TO USE THIS UTILITY

   1. Boot to the EFI shell.
   2. Copy IFlash64.EFI, IFlash64.hlp, and BIOS binary file (also referred as 
      volume file) to HD or removable media.
   3. Command line Interface

             IFlash64 [File Name] [Options]

      a. To view the command-line help

             IFlash64 /h

      b. To update System BIOS from the command line interface:

             IFlash64 [File Name] /update

      c. To verify System BIOS from the command line interface:

             IFlash64 [File Name] /verify

      d. Finds out the appropriate BIOS binary image file from the current directory
where iFlash64 running and uses that binary image file to update the system BIOS:
	
	     IFlash64 /sup

   4. GUI Interface

             IFlash64 
        or   IFlash64 [File Name]

      Use the arrow keys to browse through the menu and press the <Enter>
      key to select.  A brief description of the selected menu item is
      displayed in the Tip-View window, which is displayed at the bottom of 
      the screen.

      a. To update the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select 
         "Update System BIOS".
   
      b. To verify the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select 
         "Verify System BIOS".

      This utility provides a help file (iflash64.hlp) with details on how to
      use this utility and it is accessed from the "Help"/"General Help" menu.

   5. Recovery mode update

      Refer to the BIOS release notes on how to update the BIOS in recovery mode.

   6. Reboot system after the update is completed.
